U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) Smart Reentry Demonstration Program
Program Description
The purpose of this program is to implement comprehensive and collaborative reentry strategies to increase the likelihood of successful reentry for people returning to communities from adult correctional facilities, and to establish or expand a program or service (“intervention”) to reduce recidivism.
Eligibility
city, township, county, special district, and state governments; Native American tribal governments and organizations; and other units of local government such as towns, boroughs, parishes, villages, or other general purpose political subdivisions of a state
