Program Description
The purpose of this program is to provide support to marine mammal stranding participants or stranding network collaborators for recovery, care, or treatment of sick, injured, or entangled marine mammals; responses to marine mammal stranding events that require emergency assistance; data collection from stranded marine mammals for scientific research or assessments; facility operating costs directly related to eligible activities; and activities that enhance stranding network capacity.
Eligibility
marine mammal stranding participants or stranding network collaborators in good standing within city, township, county, special district, and state governments; Native American tribal governments and organizations; private, public, and state controlled institutions of higher education; and nonprofits
