U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Highway Administration (FHA) Wildlife Crossings Pilot Program
Program Description
The purpose of this program is to provide funding to eligible entities for projects seeking to improve safety of the traveling public by reducing the number of wildlife-vehicle collisions and, in doing so, improve habitat connectivity for terrestrial and aquatic species.
Eligibility
city, township, county, special district, and state governments; Native American tribal governments and organizations; metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs); regional transportation authorities; special purpose districts or public authorities with a transportation function; and Federal Land Management Agencies (FLMA)
