U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Office of Community Planning and Development (CPD) Youth Homelessness

Program Description

The purpose of this program is to provide competitive awards to eligible applicants under two different programs: Youth Homelessness System Improvement (YHSI) and Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP). The YHSI program provides support for communities to establish and implement a response system for youth homelessness or to improve their existing response system. The YHDP program provides support for communities to implement housing and supportive services projects.

Eligibility

city, township, county, special district, and state governments; Native American tribal governments and organizations; public and state controlled institutions of higher education; and nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
