The purpose of this program is to enhance security and law enforcement capabilities at faith-based institutions and houses of worship to prevent and respond to bias-motivated crimes. Projects will strengthen partnerships between religious communities and local law enforcement, implement evidence-based security measures, and build institutional capacity to report incidents and assist in criminal investigations.
Category 1: faith-based organizations. Category 2: city, township, county, special district, and state governments; Native American tribal governments and organizations; other units of local government; and the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands
