U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) Community Policing Development (CPD) Accreditation Program
Program Description
The purpose of this program is to establish new and support existing accreditation bodies in states or territories. Funding will focus on such activities as providing technical assistance to agencies, defraying or underwriting accreditation costs, improving customer service and marketing, and developing user-friendly policy templates.
Eligibility
all public government agencies; Federally Recognized Indian Tribes and their public agencies; for profit (commercial) organizations; non-profit organizations; Institutions of Higher Education; community groups; and faith-based organizations
