U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Wetland Mitigation Banking Program (WMBP)
Program Description
The purpose of this program is to support the development and establishment of mitigation banks and banking opportunities solely for agricultural producers with wetlands subject to the wetland conservation compliance provisions of the Food Security Act of 1985 (as amended).
Eligibility
city, township, county, special district, and state governments; Native American tribal governments and organizations; private, public, and state controlled institutions of higher education; nonprofits; for-profit organizations; and small businesses
